Hand Lettering Workshop with UES Girls

Learn the art of hand lettering in this BYOB, class for adults ages 21 and up. Brought to you by the UES Girls, find your tribe on the Upper East Side with this creative and hands on workshop! We provide all of the supplies, all you have to do is bring your fabulous self. 

Modern Calligrapher Danielle Rothman will teach you all about different lettering styles, how to put together interesting layouts and combinations, and how to use inspiration to create something entirely unique. We'll then put it all together to create a fun hand lettered composition!

Beginners are always welcome.

In this workshop, you will:

• Be introduced to hand lettering
• Practice creating serif, sans serif, and script styles
• Create a quote with hand lettering
• Have the opportunity to ask her all of your burning questions about hand lettering!

Teacher Bio: Danielle Rothman is a Teaching Artist who builds community through art and workshops. Danielle has a passion for teaching and has helped over 5k students explore their creativity at over 500 workshops and private events. Her business Rothbyrns Creative specializes in creating engaging and collaborative virtual experiences for groups of all ages and sizes, with a focus on crafting and hand lettering. She also provides personalization and business coaching services, combining thoughtful handwritten designs with expertise in branding, website strategy, and team building.

All participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver form signed by a parent or guardian before attending any class, camp, or workshop.

Registration and Processing Fee: Our registration and processing fees, equal to 30% of the total cost for a course, camp, class, or workshop, are non-refundable. These fees help cover the costs of enrolling students and managing customer communication. However, they may be transferred if rescheduling occurs within the specified timeframe outlined below.

Membership: 

• Our multi-week courses are available through a monthly membership that automatically renews throughout the school year. If you need to make changes or cancel, please provide at least 30 days’ notice before your next billing date.
• If cancellation is not requested prior to the end of a class session, your enrollment will carry over to the next season automatically and you will continue to be billed on a monthly basis.
• All members have access to unlimited makeup classes that DO rollover into the next season, so long as your membership is active.

Making Up a Missed Class: 

• Currently enrolled students at The Fashion Class can enjoy unlimited make-up classes for any missed sessions within their registration season (Fall, Winter, Spring). To schedule a make-up session, please contact us to arrange a different class time.
• Please note: Make-up classes must be completed within the same season as the missed class. For example, if a class is missed during the Fall season, the make-up must be scheduled within that same Fall season.
• Make-up classes are offered as a courtesy and have no monetary value.

Rescheduling and Date Transfers:

All date changes are based on availability.

• Courses/Multi-Week Classes can be rescheduled with one week notice.
• One-Day Camps can be rescheduled with one week notice.
• Summer Camps/Weekly Camps can be rescheduled with three week's notice.
• Birthday Parties/Special Events can be rescheduled with three week's notice.
• One Day Lessons (Private Lessons/Sewing Playdates/Mommy and Me Lessons/Seasonal Workshops/Sip & Sew Events) can be rescheduled with 48 hour's notice.

Cancellations:

No-Shows: If your child does not attend a class, workshop, or camp without prior notice, the full fee will be forfeited. To avoid this, please inform us in advance if your child will be unable to attend.

• Week-Long and Summer Camp Registration Cancellation:

1. 30 or more days before the camp start date: 70% refund
2. 15-29 days before: 50% refund
3. 2-14 days before: 25% refund

• Birthday Party & Special Event cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the $250 deposit.
• Registration Cancellation for all other offerings: (including Courses, Individual Classes, Workshops, One-Day Camps, Mommy and Me Lessons, and Playdates) If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us at least one week before the class start date. We will issue a refund, minus the 30% registration fee outlined above, within 10 business days.
• If we cancel due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund within 10 business days.
