Birthday Party FAQ's

Our kid’s fashion parties for girls and boys allow your child and their guests to sew real clothing, design and illustrate fashion, and even walk in a professional fashion show!

If you’d like to be worry free on the day of your child’s party we can place a pizza order for you and add it to your party balance. We also work with a local bakery and can order a special cake. Please note food/drink is not included in our party package pricing.

Yes, we welcome you to bring outside food, cake, cupcakes, and/or drinks. Our studios have a water cooler and refrigerator. We normally have students break for pizza after one hour of sewing, finish their projects, then have cake/cupcakes.

Our goody bags have a costume jewelry adjustable ring, a hair accessory, sticker, and a lollipop for each party attendee. The birthday girl gets an extra gift along with her goody bag. If you'd like to add to our goody bag just let us know and we can leave the goody bags open for you. Goody bags are included in all party packages. 

Yes, we decorate the party room for your child's special day. You are welcome to bring additional decorations (please no confetti). We decorate our party room with fashionable pink-print table cloths, flower center pieces, and fabric garland. Our paper goods match the décor.

Unfortunately, because of the difficulty of drop-off and pick-up coordination, we do not allow rental furniture. However, we have extra chairs and a number of tables for your use.

Due to limited space (and our sprinkler system), we do not allow piñata's, sparkler candles or glitter cannons at our birthday parties.

Yes! While our sewing/design birthday projects begin at age 6, younger siblings are welcome to attend the party with adult supervision. Unfortunately they will not be able to participate in the sewing/design activity but we will set a place for them at the birthday table for no extra charge. 

We do not charge for adults who stay during the party however our studio can only accommodate a maximum of six adults. Most of our parties are drop off and we reserve the majority of our space for your child and guests to sew, create, and celebrate!

All parties/events require a non-refundable $250 deposit to reserve our studio. The balance is due the day of your party or event. Birthday party or special event cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

We require three weeks advance notice for any date or time changes. The Fashion Class will do our best to accommodate your requested date provided both activities begin within 3 months of each other, all payments made will transfer to the new date & time. The Fashion Class will not hold a deposit as credit for longer than 3 month’s time.

Our birthday party prices are per child. We will contact you the Wednesday prior to your child’s party to get a final guest count; this is the number we will use when determining your balance. You will be charged for any extra guests who may not have rsvp’d.

Please be as accurate as possible when determining your guest count. Because each project uses specific supplies we may not be able to accommodate a guest increase of more than four participants.

Tipping is entirely at your discretion and always appreciated by our staff. A typical party has a staff of 3-4; one party manager, one lead instructor and enough assistant instructors to match our student/teacher ratio of 1:5 for sewing parties and 1:6 for non-sewing parties.

Yes, all of our sewing party projects are fun to make an easy to sew. At the start of each sewing party the lead instructor will teach your child and their friends how to safely use the sewing machine and begin their project.

Yes, we often have both boys and girls at parties and everyone loves working with our sewing machines! Some of our projects can be easily changed, for example, our tote bag project can become a mini backpacks. PJ pants are also a great for all guests at a sewing or craft birthday party. Please let us know ahead of time so we can be sure to have neutral fabric on hand.

Our student/teacher ratio depends on the party activity you choose. Your child’s sewing party will have one instructor per 5 children. Non sewing parties are a ratio of one instructor per 6 children. A runway party include a team of six to get everyone ready for the big show!

Our sewing parties have a lower guest limit as the sewing room can hold a maximum of 12 sewing machines and we do need space to lay out fabric for cutting. However, our designer parties can accommodate a larger group of up to 15 children. If you need an activity for more guests please contact us and we will create something fabulous for your group!
