Check out our Fall 2011 Children’s Fashion Show Video! Our sewing class students worked hard from September through December to make tote bags, pj pants, t-shirts, and animal ear hoodies all modeled down the runway. Our Art and design students designed their own fabric prints and made clutch purses. Enjoy!

Our fashion show was this past Friday December 16th and what a gorgeous event! Students modeled t-shirts, PJ pants, animal ear hoodies, and much more down our runway at the Samsung Experience Showroom. More photos and video coming soon!

Our Art + Design Class Clutches

This week the Manhattan Art + Design class completed their clutch project. The students made these bags entirely from scratch. First they designed their own print;

We then transferred this print onto cotton fabric printer sheets.

Next we added a lining and sewed up the sides with contrasting thread.

Then we added cardboard to give our bags shape.

Finally we gave our clutches a velcro flap and decorated them with feathers, sequins, and ribbon. Voila – instantly glamorous!
